Volunteering Abroad
If you are a foreigner, or another city from Colombia, and would like to volunteer to stay with us—then this information is for you!
The volunteer opportunities at Mentes Soñadoras Foundation vary depending on participation availability and interest—our opportunities can vary from a few days to a full month (in summer). We just need your attitude and willingness. And not only will you gain experience working with a small NGO, but you will also enjoy get to enjoy the beauty of our city, Medellin.dubbed the “city of eternal primavera,” and one of the world-renowned gems of Latin America.
Opportunities include assisting in all areas of our work– including visits to small towns, vacation programs, working with our social work team, helping with reports, and/or organizing games, workshops, field trips, or any activity you propose.. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity!

You will receive an introduction to the Mentes Soñadoras Foundation, our work and what to expect during your time with us, along with in-country orientation and information about the area, including a meet and greet and helping you arrive to your accomodation upon arrival.
We provide information during your stay in Colombia, including things to do, places to visit, and sightseeing/travel recommendations. We also provide a 24-hour contact number for a Mentes Soñadoras Foundation staff member while you are in the country.
You will receive a certificate of appreciation at the end of your volunteer work with us.
If you are coming from abroad, please note the following, the foundation MENTES SOÑADORAS, is not responsible for:
– National or international flights;
– Housing;
– Immigration Errands, including special letters to leave your country of origin and enter Colombia; or
– Transportation to and from the airport.
